At MPS we have two Houses; Goulburn (Green) and Waranga (Red). The House system is used across the school to encourage healthy sportsmanship amongst students. Siblings are put in the same house.
House Captains are elected from the Grades 5 and 6 children each year and are called upon to perform duties around the school and undertake leadership roles. Elections are held each year in term 4 to determine these roles for the following year.
A house point system operates to reward students who are displaying behaviours that are representative of our school values: respect, community, responsibility and quality and is used in the classrooms and during school sporting events such as our Swimming Carnival. At the end of each week and each term the winning house is acknowledged at assembly.
