ResourceSmart Schools is a Victorian Government program that helps schools benefit from embedding sustainability in everything they do, and take action on climate change.
At Murchison Primary School we aim to take action to minimize waste, save energy and water, promote biodiversity and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Through the program, there are five modules to complete. We have completed the Core module and the Energy module and are working towards achieving the Biodiversity, Waste and Water modules.
We have a Kitchen Garden, chook pen, compost bins, orchard and manage our waste through the use of the correct bins to complement the program.
